Co-founders Usman Bandukra and Mohammad Shah established the S&S Group in 1977. The name “S&S” represents the partnership of Salim (Usman) and Shah, and today, continues that tradition of partnership with all of its affiliates and associates.
S&S Group began solely as a retail operation, specifically in the niche market of transportation retail, which offers the advantage and added complexity of increased volume. S&S Group, in the 1980s slowly began diversifying its portfolio to include real estate holdings which added assets and stability to the small business.
S&S Group, the parent company for Retail Management Services, is a bona fide Minority Business Enterprise as strictly defined by federal, state, and local regulations. Qualified for this status, S&S is wholly owned, managed, and controlled by Asian Americans.
